il Munqar
Zurrieq
Level: Intermediate to AdvancedDuration: 2 to 3 hrs.
Starting from Eden Lodge in Zurrieq, we descend around the peak called "Il-Munqar" and explore some of the large open caves on the side of the cliff. We will be just above Wied Babu overlooking the Blue Grotto and the warf at Wied iz-Zurrieq.
We turn south and around il-Munqar to climb back up and explore two more open caves on the west side and return to the starting point.

Depending on the season and weather conditions, we might be just as lucky to enjoy such a beautiful sky and clouds and perahps catch a glorious sunset at the end of our hike.

Good hiking boots, long sleave shirt and long pants will prevent your beautiful skin from scratching against the rocks and occasional small thorns: nature didn't plan for us to be here.
